New to forum & just starting track days this year so I really don't know squat. Have not raced since the mid 80's (flat track not road) and this is my first season doing track days. Is it possible and if so, is there any benifits to joining a club when one is this new to the track?

What kind of club did you have in mind? You don't mean like the Ruff Ryderz do you?

Actually I just re-read what you typed and you said you JUST started doing track days this year and since none have happened yet up in the Northeast you must mean that you are planning to do them this year, yeah? So yes, you'll pretty much have to join one of the track day organizations in the area because the various tracks in the area don't conduct track days on their own. They are rented out for the day by the club/org, and the club's paying members ride for the.

There's a couple in the area, but Team Promotion seems to have the largest selection of tracks in the NE including several at Summit which Is in WV.

There's a few others but take a look at them all figure out which has the best schedule for where you're going to ride and go with them.

Thanks: 2 times
Motoseries does them at Nelson, no membership. Beaverun or whatever it is called now typically has a few dealership days, European Motorcyles of Pgh comes to mind. MidOh seems to do something different every year, they generally do their own but sometime others are there. Dunno where Barborsville is but Summit Point is probably worth the trip for you.

See you out there.
